Hello all! We have a number of exciting programs coming up to supplement your faith formation journey during Lent: -Fr. William Meninger, an internationally known Catholic Trappist monk, is returning to Tallahassee! Last year, Fr. Meninger presented a series of workshops and lectures and over 400 people attended the programs. Now, the Co-Cathedral is fortunate to be a sponsor for this year’s ecumenical series. The schedule of events is posted here. Let's show our support especially by attending the February 28th presentation on Julian of Norwich at St. Thomas More! Also taking place are a weekend retreat on contemplative prayer and many great talks, each one very different and very inspiring. -Psalms: The School of Prayer - by Jeff Cavins, Sarah Christmyer and Tim Gray. In Psalms: The School of Prayer, The Great Adventure moves from telling the Story to making it personal. While the historical books of the Bible recount God's creative and redemptive acts in history, the Psalms reveal Israel's response to God's covenant offer and serve as a model for our response to Him. Our communication with God is enhanced by a deeper understanding of the book of Psalms and of the individual psalms that reside in each of our hearts. This is an 11 week series and the cost is $25. You can register here. We will offer a Monday evening class from 6:30 - 8:30 and a Friday afternoon class from 12:00 noon - 2:00 p.m. Classes begin on Monday, March 5th. -Adult Faith Formation Small Group Facilitator training - For those interested in learning the Great Adventure "model" we will be holding a facilitator training workshop. Dates will be posted soon. |
