The National Council of Catholic Women acts through its members to support, empower and educate all Catholic women in spirituality, leadership and service. NCCW programs respond with Gospel values to the needs of the Church and society in the modern world.
In celebration of our faith and with love for one another, we act in our parish community by supporting our priests, ministry leaders and fellow parishioners.
NCCW is non-profit organization and is tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Open Door Women's Clinic fundraiser (https://donateodwc.com/) The ladies of STM CCW will distribute baby bottles after mass on January 14 and 15. Please fill the bottles with change, cash, or checks and return the filled bottles at mass on January 28 and 29. The money raised will help provide services to women in our community.
Please join us on February 4th for our next regular meeting. We will attend mass together at 8:00 followed by a rosary. Our meeting will be at 9:00 in the Parish Hall. We are delighted to welcome Carol McNutt, NP, CNM as our February guest speaker. She will talk at 10:00 about women's health. We will have coffee, danishes, and fellowship. We hope you can join us and bring a friend.
Please Save the Date for the Eastern Deanery CCW spiritual retreat “The Visitation” based on the book “Gifts of the Visitation” by Denise Bossert (from the NCCW Spirituality Commission). - Sunday, February 5, 2023, at John Paul II Catholic High School in Tallahassee. The event will begin with mass at 10:30 followed by lunch. The retreat will take place from 1:00-4:00. Registration is live on our Deanery Website https://ptdccw.org/eastern. All are welcome!
The CCW Book Club will continue to meet on the second Tuesday of the month at STM at 12:30 PM for a listening meeting (bring a craft to work on while listening) and on the third Tuesday of the month at Panera's on the Parkway for a discussion of the monthly book. The book for February 21st is "Queen Hereafter" by Susan Frazer King. This a novel about the lives of Saint Margaret and her husband King Malcolm III. Available at the library and used copies at Amazon.
The STM CCW will have a cookie sale following mass on the weekend of February 11 and 12. Proceeds will go to the CCW general fund to provide services for our parish. We will gather to pack cookies in the parish hall in the morning on January 11th and then enjoy a "galentines day" lunch afterward. Location TBD.
The STM CCW will host the first Lenten Light Meal of Lent 2023 on Friday, February 24. We will present a baked potato bar with all the fixings and salad. We hope to see you there.
