According to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), when the necessary number of ordinary ministers (bishops, priests, and deacons) are not present for the distribution of Holy Communion, members of the lay faithful may be called upon to assist their priests.
If you are interested in being trained to become an Extraordinary Minister (EM), please contact Missy Hollis ([email protected]) for more information. EM's must be registered parishioners who have received Confirmation. All applications are sent to the rector for approval.
